Thank you for visiting the Woven Project's temporary website. We're diligently working on our new website. We hope to have it up soon, but it's quickly grown in scope and we want to make sure all details are covered. We're a couple of guys in Boston looking for ways to support our local economy and promote sustainability in such things as economy, environment, food, energy, transportation and the list goes on. !
We all know that there are certain changes that can be made in our current way of life. Activism is an action in support or protest of a given issue. Activism can be as radical as a protest at an international political summit, or as simple as buying from your local farmer's market. The Woven Project aims to present its community with fun conversation provoking apparel, rather than ending it with militant phrases that may turn off the opposing point of view from listening.
The Woven Project offers comfortable everyday organic t-shirts that are made in america with unique designs by artists local to us in Boston. Each Woven Project artist has come up with designs that they are passionate about and that we hope will encourage starting a dialogue.
If you are inspired by our designs we gladly welcome feedback!

The T-Rex knows something good to eat when it see’s it. So, go with the dinasour’s instinct and support local, independent, poultry farming.
Fact: The run-off from many modern industrial poultry farms is responsible for pollution of down stream waterways. In some cases, these bodies of water are unable to sustain aquatic life.

You may not know it, but your household appliances are on a mission to get you to stop wearing them out. James Prescott Joules, a 19th century scientist and inventor, gave us the first law of thermodynamics; energy cannot be created or destroyed, but merely transformed from one system to another.
Our computer, household lights, etc—objects that we say “consume” energy throughout the day—when not in use, are not wasting energy as much as they are converting it (as Joules reminds us) into heat. When we leave our appliances plugged in with nothing to do all day but sit, hooked up to an outlet with a constant stream of power cycling through, we risk shortening the life of our gadget. Our toaster may not be our pet or even our plant—but if it could talk, it would probably say: “Unplug me!”

We get jealous when our food travels more and has been to more exotic locations than we have. And, quite frankly, whenever we’ve met a tomato on a cross country flight, it was really quite a bore to talk to.
So, join us in our campaign to reduce excessive vegetable frequent flier miles. As an added bonus, your food will be tastier, more nutrient rich, and happier too.

Over the past 30 years, the American beef industry has been trasformed from farm-centric and grass fed to industrial and corn fed. As a result, we have enjoyed dramatically cheaper beef but at steep hidden costs.
The machines that process your food may not need exercise, but the food itself does. Maybe someday we’ll have an artificial cow that, bolted in place, can synthesize a nutrient-rich version of the milk and meat that we depend on. Until then, we should probably let the real cows get some exercise.

Sue Petersen’s design tells a compelling story about generations and the challenges we face as a global society.
The boy recognizes that our challenges are urgent, yet his tools for change are antiquated. Despite his eagerness, the big wheel of the bicycle is difficult to turn. As a society, we need to embrace true change in sustainability, diversity, and innovation.
By embracing the spirit of this design, you acknowledge that the issues you hold most dear are best solved when we work together.

To be able to the broadest possible number of designs, The Woven Project has chosen to initially limit available sizes to those that are listed. If you don't see your size (need larger, or smaller) or you prefer a different cut than what is available. Please let us know via e-mail. This will help us gauge what sizes to print the next time the design you are interested in goes to print. Thank you for your understanding!
